The first one we bought while living in Australia and we loved it so much we brought it over her to America. Unfortunately the crank cable broke on that one so we needed a new one. We decided to "go big" with this one (we are in America afterall). I'm glad we did. The material is ideal for summer days. It lets enough light and air through that you don't feel like you're huddling in a tent. It also doesn't want to blow away because wind gusts pass through it. Great sturdy umbrella.

This 11 foot umbrella provides shade and heat reduction just as advertised. We have it on a rolling umbrella base so that we can move it as needed when our afternoons get hot. For two years, we've used a Coolaroo 6 foot roller shade in another part of the yard. It looks stylish and is easy to clean so we knew the addition of the Coolaroo Umbrella would resolve our dilemma. The two look wonderful together. Coolaroo provides excellent quality products at a very fair price. The pole is sturdy, was easy to set up and it is easy to tilt. With an umbrella this size you need a substantial "base" for the best stability. We miss our trees, but this umbrella will be just fine as a replacement.
