I have to admit, when it first arrived I was a little worried about the color, the roof looked pink. When assembled and viewed from the ground it does look light red though. Shipping weight was 400lbs so its very solid.
This fall has been a rainy one for us and the gazebo has been fantastic to have on rainy days. We can sit outside and enjoy some fresh air without getting wet. The fabric curtains are a heavy outdoor material that don't allow water to blow in when they are closed (some rain does come in thought the open section of the cupola). As the nights get cooler, we also noticed the curtains really cut the wind down as well. I like that the gazebo has both the curtains and the bug netting. The cuppola in the middle is tinted plastic, so it allows light in without getting too hot. The roof does not leak, even in torrential downpours. It has withstood some fairly heavy winds... Read more

Sturdy design, March 25, 2012 By Phil (CA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Aluminum Hardtop Gazebo Pavilion I am extremely pleased with results of the installation of the gazebo on our deck which provides a styish cover and better deck utilization as we will now have shade from the summer sun which can be rather fierce here on the Central Coast of California.
The color is as pictured, a fairly dark brown with gold flecks in the paint. A more reddish finish is available from another supplier. The gazebo is more steel than aluminum, with the aluminum mainly used in the sheet metal portions, with the exception of the roof panels which are sheet steel.
I was able to errect the structure mostly by myself with a little help from my wife at times by modifying the approach in the instructions which requires assembly of the roof structure first, then elevating it with 6 people. My approach was to assemble only the main support frame, then elevate it with the aid of scaffolds and install the columns with the assistance of my wife. I then completed the remainder of the roof... Read more

Over the last 15 or so years we have had 3 other gazebos The cheap ones that generally cost about $300 from Sears, Kmart or Target. the last one was a Martha Stewart that was a TOTAL joke it fell apart before the season even ended.
This gazebo is very well constructed goes together relatively easily and I think is a pretty good value. I do however have some minor complaints about it which I will talk about later.
Delivery was from Gazebos direct. It came in 2 large flat boxes. each box has a metal cage inside to protect the contents and everything arrived in great shape. The assembly process starts out with assembling the main fascia that goes around the top of the gazebo. You then assemble the roof support structure and finally the legs. the instructions are clear although the pictures are tiny at about 1.5" square. they should at minimum make it picture 3"...
